1. Defense still has plenty of work to do

Regardless of the much improved second half the Packers defense still has to work out some tweaks.

The pass-rush was almost non existent in the first two and a half quarters. Trubisky had loads of time early on and made the Packers secondary pay for the lack of pressure by the pass-rushers. Not to mention Tarik Cohen and Jordan Howard were able to run all over the defense as they both averaged over five yards per carry.

However, the secondary looked better later on in the game once Trubisky was forced to throw into tight coverage with a little more pressure. They were a huge part in allowing the Bears to only six points in the second half.

It took some time for the front three of Mike Daniels, Muhammad Wilkerson and Kenny Clark to display their full potential. Once they did, however, it showed with the lack of a passing attack the Bears had later in the game.

Obviously moving forward this can’t become constant. At least one of the three down lineman will have to put together four good quarters to avoid putting the team down in an early hole such as Sunday night.

Next week against the Vikings will be a great battle to help show if the Packers defense is completely ready and reliable against some of the league’s top teams.
