Aaron Rodgers: Reactions from the internet to his historic comeback
By Josh McPeak
On Sunday Night Aaron Rodgers had one of the most historic comebacks Green Bay Packers fans have ever witnessed. Rodgers erased a 20 point deficit on one leg!
The emotional roller-coaster for the green and gold faithful can not be summed up in words. One had to truly feel it. The game took more twists and turns than the resurrection of the Roseanne show! Aaron Rodgers went down early in the game, with what appeared to be a serious knee injury. It felt like an injury that could cost the franchise their entire season in week one. While DeShone Kizer is the correct choice to be the Packers’ backup quarterback, Khalil Mack stole his lunch money -twice.
Mack took the ball away from Kizer and later returned a Kizer interception for a touchdown. Kizer had some really nice throws, but apparently, forgot he had legs.
Rodgers meanwhile, spent a good amount of time under the medical tent before he was carted to the locker room. He seemed visibly upset on the cart, while running his hands through his hair.
The Packers season was over before a complete half of football could be played. Then, the miraculous happened. In true Willis Reed style, Aaron Rodgers came running out of the tunnel following halftime.
What happened after that, will go down in the history books. Rodgers carved up the Bears with a one legged ultra fast delivery, which sealed an unbelievable comeback. He and Randall Cobb along with Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison, restored all hope that had been completely drained from cheeseheads worldwide.
The reactions to such a comeback from the greatest quarterback to ever play the game, where well, legendary.
NBA legends weighed in:
Even his backup quarterbacks were in amazement of what we are all experiencing from number 12.
Many fans had Randall Cobb on the block heading into this season. You can not overlook what he did on Sunday night.
Rodgers isn’t your typical human. Everybody is fully aware of that by now. He is an exceptional talent that the Packers have been blessed with through several decades of their historic franchise dating back to Bart Starr and Brett Favre.
What Rodgers did on Sunday night was absolutely amazing! Truly, we are all witnesses to one of the rarest talents to ever lace up a pair of cleats.
Stay tuned to Dairyland Express to see how the legend will get through the upcoming games, while battling an injury that takes away one of his greatest attributes in his mobility. In the meantime, do not ever, count number 12 out!
