4.  Missed Opportunity at the Draft

Ok, onto the next issue with the draft.  The Bucks reportedly screwed up a trade that could have potentially netted them another pick.  The short version if you haven’t heard: the Hawks wanted to move up from 19 to the Bucks pick at 17, then heard through a leak who the Bucks were going to take, and backed out of the trade.  The report didn’t include exactly what the trade would have been, but one could easily speculate the Hawks 30th overall pick would have been involved.

This is a huge lost opportunity for Milwaukee to pick up an extra asset that they desperately need, and all because of a leak somewhere in the front office.

Remember the Bucks will lose their first round pick most likely in 2020 to the Phoenix Suns from the Eric Bledsoe trade, so they will only have one more shot at adding an impact player through the draft before Antetokounmpo is due to sign an extension in 2020.
