On Sunday night, the most historic rivalry in all of sports will be renewed once again. The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers will kickoff Sunday Night Football.

This will be the 195th regular season meeting between the two clubs. The Green Bay Packers hold a slight edge with a record of 95-93-6. Aaron Rodgers has been a big reason the Packers now lead that split. During his career with the Packers, Rodgers is 15-4 with a rating of 107.2. Rodgers has all but owned the monsters of the midway.

The rivalry takes on a new chapter with the likes of Mitch Trubisky and Khalil Mack leading the way for the Bears. Rodgers will need to quickly find alternate weapons outside of Davante Adams and Jimmy Graham.

Sunday night will be interesting and electric at Lambeau Field.

Helping shed some light on the outcome of tonight’s historic rivalry is the staff of Dairyland Express. Each week the staff will give a brief prediction, including a final score. The results will be tallied and at season’s end, a champion will be crowned.

Brandon Carwile:

The day is finally here. I expect a big output from Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ passing game. Jimmy Graham has no problem against the Bears defense as he goes for 80 yards and a touchdown. Green Bay will struggle to run the ball and I don’t see them breaking 100 yards on the day. Mitch Trubisky will establish a rhythm early, but the Packers’ secondary still forces two interceptions. Running back Jordan Howard keeps Chicago in the game, however, they aren’t able to get points when necessary. Packers start off 1-0 and as always Go Pack Go!

Packers 24 Bears 13

Gage Bridgford:

The Green Bay Packers take on the Chicago Bears in week one. Aaron Rodgers has notoriously cooked the Bears at home. Both teams have made a ton of changes since they matched up last season. New coordinators galore are on both sides. Despite the Bears improved defense, they have only improved on paper, and they need to show it on the field. Rodgers and the offense should still be cooking. I’m taking the Packers to win the game.

Final Score Prediction: 24-17 Packers

Sam Brahm:

Jimmy Graham 2 TD
Davante Adams 2 TD

31-21 Pack

TJ Bain:

After a recent trade from the Raiders, Khalil Mack will help that Bear’s defense get after Aaron Rodgers this Sunday night. The Packer’s offense will better with Jimmy Graham signing this offseason. I think the game will be a blow out with Aaron Rodgers lighting up the Bear’s secondary. The Bear’s team as whole as much to prove this year and it won’t be an easy facing their division rival. Look for Jimmy Graham to have a monster night against a weak redzone defense. The Packer’s are Super Bowl contenders and they will look to prove that Sunday.

My prediction for the final score is Packers 28 Bears 10.

Mike Wendlant:

Traveling.

Packers 31 Bears 13

Josh McPeak:

Tonight’s game will likely not be the most polished game of the season. Preseason is not the dress rehearsal it once was and because of that, there will be a heavy amount of rust to work off. The Bears will likely get stronger on defense as the players gel, but that will take some time. Aaron Rodgers will lean heavily on Davante Adams and Jimmy Graham, but look for a clear third weapon to be established tonight. Rodgers ownership of the Chicago Bears will continue.

Packers 27 Bears 21

Brian Sampson:

The Packers are going to struggle against the Bears a lot more than people think. It will have to do with a combination of Green Bay shaking the rust off and an improved Chicago team. However, the Packers pull it off in the end and win the game on the final drive to take home the victory.

Packers 24, Bears 21

Jim Quinlan:

Packers offense should be fine even with Khalil make on the edge, we still have very good tackles when healthy and they are at least for week 1.

Should also see an improved packer defense, but Chicago May score an extra TD late.

Packers 27, Bears 14

As for week one, the entire staff picks the Packers to beat the up and coming Bears. Tonight should go a long way in shaping how the staff predicts future weeks. Football is back and Dairyland Express will be here for all of your Packers and Badgers news. Be sure to bookmark us!
