Green Bay Packers: Grades from Week 1 victory over Chicago Bears
Offense: B
The offense got off to a disastrous start, even when Rodgers was in the game. It was a flashback to year’s past when the offense lacked creativity and receivers couldn’t seem to get open in a timely manner.
The offense went from bad to worse when Rodgers went down with an injury and DeShone Kizer stepped in. Kizer helped the team drive down the field on his first possession, but allowed Khalil Mack to take the ball away from him in the red zone, ending any chance they had at points. On his next possession, he threw a pick right into Mack’s hands that was returned for a touchdown.
However, everything changed after half. Rodgers came back out of the locker room and led the Packers to points on every second-half drive. In the end, it resulted in a 20-point comeback and 24 second-half points for the Packers.
