2. Packers receivers vs Bears corners

This will be only the second season since 2011 when Nelson became a fixture in the wide receiver rotation where he won’t be there. Adams and his shiny new contract indicate he is with no doubt the guy. Cobb is the man in the slot, who will succeed with his veteran savvy. Geronimo Allison is unproven, but he has shown flashes in the past. Kyle Fuller turned last season into an expensive contract after slowly underwhelming. He’ll have to do it again this year.

Adams is a fully healthy season away from forcing his way into the top receiver discussion. His size and route-running make him a handful for any corner. While he doesn’t have the elite speed or athleticism of Julio Jones or others, he has the intelligence to be always in the right spot. Cobb has been a Rodgers favorite since he burst onto the scene in 2011. Allison earned the third wide receiver spot over three rookies by being consistent and having a rapport with Rodgers.

Rodgers has been dicing up cornerbacks for over a decade, and he doesn’t look like he’s ready to stop. However, the last time he was without Nelson, the Packers offense struggled mightily. While this offense is different due to Joe Philbin, the Bears defense is quietly becoming one of the better units around the league. In addition to Fuller, they have veteran Prince Amukamara who has developed into a strong player on the outside. If they get burned early, it will be a very long night.
