3. Packers defensive backs vs Bears receiving corps

The Packers defense underwent a major overhaul this offseason. They changed defensive coordinators, moved on from several long-term players and added multiple players via free agency. The Bears did the same on the offensive side of the ball. Trey Burton, Taylor Gabriel, Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller are all fresh additions to this team. This week will be a big test for both groups of players.

Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson have looked like budding stars during the preseason, but that’s the preseason. Now is when the games start to matter and count for real. Jackson likely won’t see the field to start games, but he should be on in four wide receiver sets. Tramon Williams has looked good at his advanced age, but it has to hold up over a season. Kevin King had a struggle of a rookie season due to a shoulder injury, but he can be a lockdown player.

Robinson is a legitimate number one receiver when he’s healthy, but he has to show that again. Burton translated a big postseason into a big payday. Now he’ll be the unquestioned man at tight end as the safety valve for a developing quarterback. Taylor Gabriel has been a gadget big-play type of guy, but he’s being paid like much more than that now. Miller had a big highlight reel in college, but he needs to translate it to the next level.
