2. Alex Hornibrook

Hornibrook had an up and down 2018 debut with some really ugly and some really great throws. On more than a couple of occasions, he got scared feet and made a poor throw as a result of his feet being unsettled in the pocket. This resulted in some pretty bad misses.

On the other hand, he appeared to work out the early game jitters and settled in nicely. He finished 17 of 29 for 257 yards and two touchdowns. Although he still had some questionable throws into tight coverage, Hornibrook has a few games to iron out those kinks.

Hornibrook will likely be a key for many Badgers’ games in the upcoming season. Defenses already know they will gameplan around Jonathan Taylor and how to stop him. Even with a depleted receiving core, Wisconsin still has the weapons around Hornibrook to make them pay for loading the box. Now, it comes down to Hornibrook being able to get the football into his weapon’s hands.
