The Wisconsin football team plays their second game of the year against New Mexico. Let’s check in on five players to keep an eye on in their game.

The Wisconsin football team takes on the mighty undefeated New Mexico Lobos at Camp Randall stadium in Week 2 of the college football season. Both teams enter at 1-0, but only one will move to 2-0. Who could it be?

In all seriousness, according to the ESPN Matchup Predictor, Wisconsin has a 98.5 percent chance to take home the victory on Saturday. It’s likely to be a blowout, so get ready folks.  Ahead of the game, let’s take a look at five players we should keep an eye on in the Badgers-Lobos showdown.

5. T.J. Edwards

T.J. Edwards was surprisingly not the Badgers’ leading tackler last season. That honor went to Ryan Connelly. However, Edwards is off to a great start in 2018, tying for the team lead with seven total tackles in the season-opener against Western Kentucky.

Edwards is the key to the Badgers defense, as he’s the most talented player they have. He can impact bot the pass and the run game and show up all over the field. Edwards can make his presence felt early and often against the Lobos, and turn them into a one dimensional team. Let’s keep an eye on how he’s able to hold up.
