Antetokounmpo has increased his points per game and points per 36 minutes every single year of his career. Every. Single. Year. That’s remarkable for a player who is now a two-time All-Star and one of the very best in the NBA.

The important aspect to notice here is that it’s points per 36 minutes. It’s easier to increase your points per game when your minutes are going up every year, similar to what Antetokounmpo’s experienced. However, it’s more difficult to continue to improve your points per 36 minutes, something that is a measure of efficiency.

Fortunately, under new head coach Mike Budenholzer’s system, Antetokounmpo will find much easier looks at the basket. Budenholzer prefers a system that moves the ball and has calculated plays in order to maximize the talent of the players on the floor. This should allow Antetokounmpo more easy buckets than ever.
