Green Bay Packers: 5 reasons 2018 will be pivotal for Aaron Rodgers
3. Trying to catch Favre
Rodgers is forever tied to Favre’s career no matter what he does. He followed the Hall of Famer and was even the reason for the Packers not bringing back Favre after they lost in overtime of the NFC Championship game to the New York Giants in 2008. The comparisons aren’t going anywhere.
At this time, they each have one Super Bowl victory. However, Favre leads Rodgers in the MVP department 3-2. Rodgers can change both of those with a great season in 2018, further cementing his legacy as the best quarterback in Packers’ history.
It won’t be easy to win his third MVP and take Green Bay back to the Super Bowl, but it’s certainly doable. Besides, the last time Rodgers broke his collarbone, he won an MVP the following season. Will history repeat itself?
