4. Injury-prone label looming

Rodgers had the extremely difficult task of following up iron man Brett Favre’s career. Favre had the historic starting streak that lasted throughout his whole career and finally ended in Minnesota. Unfortunately, Rodgers hasn’t been the same iron man Favre was (nobody is) and has broken his collarbone on two occasions now.

The first broken collarbone came back in 2013 against the Chicago Bears and caused him to miss seven games. This second one forced him to miss nine games. He also suffered a concussion back in 2010 that forced him to miss another. All in all, that means he’s started 142 of a possible 159 regular season games. Not bad.

However, some are beginning to label him as injury prone. A label that may or may not be fair. Rodgers needs to make it through the season healthy in order to shed that label and prove age isn’t getting the best of him in 2018.
