Green Bay Packers: 5 players in danger of not making the roster
1.Trevor Davis
Trevor Davis started out Training Camp on fire. He caught a couple of deep balls and looked primed to make an actual contribution on the roster. Unfortunately, a hamstring injury has cost him a lot of time, likely causing him to fall behind on the wide receiver depth chart.
The good news for Davis is that his contributions on special teams have been noticeably missing since his departure. The Packers don’t appear to have anyone else on the roster who can field a kickoff cleanly, marking a clear need for Davis’ services. Punt return has been a whole separate adventure.
If Davis can return for the final preseason game and flash his elite speed, he might be able to do just enough to make the final roster. However, he will have very little room for mistakes. That’s a high-risk situation to put yourself into for the final game.
