Green Bay Packers: 5 players in danger of not making the roster
4. Equanimeous St. Brown
Per usual, the Packers are loaded at wide receiver. Davante Adams, Randall Cobb and now Geronimo Allison are locks for the roster. After that, it’s wide open.
Before his injury, Jake Kumerow was playing better than anyone not in the top three and likely secured his position. Behind him is probably some assortment of the three rookies in J’Mon Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown. St. Brown was drafted behind the other two players and has shown less than any of them.
For now, his position is likely safe on the team, as the Packers will likely begin the season with seven receivers on the roster. However, that’s unlikely to last. Aaron Jones will return from suspension after Week 2. That means the Packers will have to let go of someone in order to make room. Luckily, St. Brown and the other receivers will have two extra weeks to prove themselves so we’ll see if they can take advantage of the opportunity.
