Green Bay Packers: 5 players in danger of not making the roster
The Green Bay Packers have one final preseason game remaining and are coming close to the final cuts. These five players could miss the 53-man roster altogether.
The Green Bay Packers are entering the homestretch of the 2018 exhibition season. They’ve wrapped up most of their practices and have only one preseason game remaining. That means time is running out in a Packers’ uniform for some players.
The five players appearing on this list won’t all get cut. However, they do need to do some work in order to secure their spot on the roster. These players have been less than impressive and need to pick up their game over the last week or so. Let’s take a look at five prominent players who are in danger of losing their roster spot.
5. Quinten Rollins
Quinten Rollins is one of the reasons Green Bay’s secondary has struggled in recent seasons. He was drafted in the second round in the 2015 NFL Draft and was expected to become a big contributor. After playing basketball for most of his career at Miami of Ohio, he transitioned to the secondary for his final season of eligibility.
Most teams saw him as a safety due to his limited speed, but the Packers tried him at cornerback. He fared pretty well his rookie season, but hasn’t regressed since then. He’s having an even worse August following surgery on his Achilles last season. Rollins is most likely gone when the roster needs to be trimmed down in September.
