4. Dillon Day

Dillon Day is the only other center on the Packers’ roster besides starter Corey Linsley. Unfortunately for Day, that doesn’t mean he’s a lock to make the team.

Given that Green Bay might keep three quarterbacks and seven wide receivers, they will have to cut other positions a bit short. Offensive line is the top candidate.

The Packers don’t have nearly the depth they want in this unit and it doesn’t help that fifth-round pick Cole Madison hasn’t reported due to personal reasons. In order to maximize the talent they do have, the coaching staff has been trying to implement their guards into the center position. And vice versa for Day.

In last week’s game against the Steelers, Day played both guard and center. He’ll likely have that opportunity again against the Raiders. Should Day play well, he’ll move that much closer to earning a spot on the final roster. However, if he falters, he might find himself without a job come September.
