3. Junior Galette

Junior Galette would also be a depth signing for the Packers. We know either one of (or both) Nick Perry or Clay Matthews will get hurt at some point this season and end up missing time. Galette provides the team with some experience behind them.

Galette was on the fast track to becoming a very good football player. Unfortunately, he dealt with numerous injuries following the 2014 season and didn’t return until last year. He was a shell of his former self with the Washington Redskins, but maybe another year removed will help him gain his confidence back.

Galette is another player who barely takes a chunk out of the Packers’ remaining money, as he signs for the veteran’s minimum as well (about $1 million). This will help the Packers spread their cap space out and maximize the effectiveness of the players they’re signing.
