4. Sign George Iloka

Next, the Packers sign the newly released George Iloka. Iloka spent the first six years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals and was let go strictly due to financial reasons. At 28-years-old, he’s right in the prime of his career.

Iloka is built much in the same mold as Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. He’s 6-foot-4, 225 pounds and can provide a boom when needed. Iloka would provide good depth at the safety position and would likely become the starter opposite Clinton-Dix. This would be tremendous because both Kentrell Brice and Josh Jones have been underwhelming in August.

Iloka will receive more than Bowman considering where he’s at in his career. It could end up being just a one year deal or the Packers could try to tack some length on at the end. Regardless, the contract is for $4 million in 2018, leaving Green Bay with $6 million remaining.
