5. Sign NaVorro Bowman

The first move the Packers make is to sign the four-time First-Team All-Pro inside linebacker to a contract. Even though injuries have sapped the former elite linebacker of his athletic ability, the 30-year-old can still be valuable to the Packers.

Green Bay lost Jake Ryan for the season and have very little depth behind emerging star Blake Martinez. Oren Burks, a third-round rookie is expected to step in and play a significant role. However, there’s completely unproven players behind him on the depth chart.

Bowman doesn’t have to take away from Martinez or Burks’ playing time. What he will do is provide insurance and a veteran with experience. He also signs for the veteran minimum of just over $1 million to try and catch on with a winning team. It’s a good deal all around.
