Week 11 at Seattle (TNF)

The reason this game is so far down the list is because of the quick turnaround the Packers will have to play this game on Thursday night.

Traveling from Green Bay to Seattle and having only two or three days to prepare isn’t really ideal. However, this isn’t the same Seahawks team of the past. They aren’t very intimidating. However, having only a few days to prepare and rest up for any NFL team is hard to do.

Their defense is nowhere near as dominant as it was a few seasons ago. No one knows the deal with Earl Thomas. Kam Chancellor‘s retirement surprised many people. Richard Sherman left for the bay area.

Their offense has lost a lot of playmakers and talent. Honestly, this team may only end up winning a handful of games or so.

However, Seattle is a tough place to play nonetheless. Plus, playing there on a quick turnaround doesn’t help the cause much.

Bottom line, the Seattle Seahawks as a team doesn’t make this game the 10th hardest for the Packers. It’s the quick turnaround and road game that does the trick. Either way, I don’t see the Packers losing this game with their roster as is.

Week 17 at Green Bay

Aaron Rodgers and the Detroit Lions are like the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers back in the day. You want it to be a rivalry each time they meet but it’s complete one-sided affaire each time.

For the record, Rodgers is 13-3 against the Lions on his career with a 109.4 QBR. Here’s some good news for Rodgers, the Lions don’t have much of a defense this season. Now, a lot can change and a lot can be on the line for both teams come week 17. However, even Matt Patricia can’t save this Lions defense this season.

However, Matt Stafford and company on the other side of the ball aren’t a group of slouches. If the Packers secondary comes into this game, or any game against the Lions for that matter, with their guards down, Stafford has weapons he feels comfortable with and will make the Packers pay. It’s that simple.

To reiterate, this game is in week 17. There is no doubt that changes will be made to both teams by then and one or both teams will be playing for something. However, like I said in the introduction, I’m judging these games on the rosters as is. Week 17, Lambeau Field, advantage Packers.
