Green Bay Packers: Ranking 2018 games from least to most difficult
Week 13 at Green Bay
Sam Bradford or Josh Rosen? That’s the ultimate question for the Arizona Cardinals. By week 13, however, it could very well be the rookie Rosen.
For the Packers secondary, this could mean big things. It’ll be unsure how Rosen would perform as a rookie, however, the Packers have two rookies and a second year player at cornerback as well. If it’s Bradford, he’s not much of a nightmare on his own.
Basically, the Packers won’t have too much to worry about with either of the Cardinals quarterbacks. However, David Johnson will be returning this season. Although the Packers run defense is one of the best, Johnson is that good. He’ll be their top priority in this game.
As far as how well the Packers offense matches up, the Cardinals have a promising defense. On paper they are a decent unit, it’s a matter of how well it translates onto the field. By week 13 however, they could be clicking.
However, the Cardinals will be heading out of warm Arizona on December 2 to make a trip to the frozen tundra in Green Bay. Advantage Packers. If not for that fact this game may be a little lower down the list. However, the Packers usually fare well at home in the later months of the season, especially playing a warm weather team. Their offense is better than the Cardinals and as of now their defensive make ups are about the same.
In the end, this should be a win for the Packers. However, it may not be the easiest of these games ranked 9-16. Again, it’s a good thing they play this game at home.
Week 4 at Green Bay
As the Bills have a very strong secondary their front seven doesn’t pair up well with it.
With that, we could see a strong running attack by the Packers in this game to weed out the Bills front seven in the box. Once the defense starts defending the run then we may see Rodgers take some deep shots.
The burning question surrounding the Bills, who is their quarterback? By the time week four comes around it may very well still be AJ McCarron. However, whether it’s him, the rookie Josh Allen or Nathan Peterman, neither of the three are the biggest of threats. And with the LeSean McCoy situation uncertain this could make the Bills offense even less of a threat than it already was.
They do, however, have some speed at wide receiver with Zay Jones and newly acquired Corey Coleman. However, the Packers secondary has the size and speed to contain those two while also being able to hone in on Kelvin Benjamin.
Such as with the Cardinals, if this game were in Buffalo it would have been a little farther down the list. However, the Bills still have question marks at quarterback right now and are unsure if McCoy will serve a suspension or not. Regardless if McCoy is in or not the Packers defense should still fare well in this game, as should their offense by attacking the box and forcing the Bills to play honest.
