Dud Number 1. Cornerback Quinten Rollins

The aforementioned Rollins has regressed mightily since his rookie season when he flashed some playmaking ability. His lack of size and natural football ability have shown their face more and more in the past two seasons. This preseason, the Packers have experimented with putting him back at his college position of safety and an athletic linebacker spot. He’s struggled with both, and he’s looked quite ugly on multiple occasions.

Against the Tennessee Titans, Rollins missed a simple tackle by being out of position. More and more in his career he has situations when he is out of position. He was a basketball player for a long time, and those ball skills showed earlier in his career. If he doesn’t make a drastic turnaround in the next couple weeks, it would be hard for the Packers to justify keeping him over some of the other natural corners on the roster.

Some players are meant to be in the NFL after being successful in other sports, such as Julius Peppers and Jimmy Graham. Rollins does not appear to be one of that group. If the Packers let Ryan walk at the end of this season, it’s possible that only Ty Montgomery will remain from the 2015 draft class. Rollins has been a let down for two straight years, and this training camp has been no change from that.
