4. Wide receiver battle royale rages on

The rookie wide receiver battle rages on another week with Valdes-Scantling taking an early lead. His height and speed were put on full display last week, as he lit up the Titans defense. He’ll look to build on that momentum this week with another good showing. Playing with Rodgers could help or hurt his chances. Rodgers is a quarterback that requires a lot of trust in his receivers and, if Valdes-Scantling continues to build that, he has a good chance of moving up the depth chart.

J’Mon Moore continued to show his inconsistency last week. While he made a big catch or two, he struggled with drops on some easier balls. This further opened the door for fan favorite Jake Kumerow. Kumerow showed his veteran savvy in a good showing last week. He doesn’t have the youth or upside of some of the younger guys, but he has shown good hands and consistency. Kumerow very well might make the final roster, and this week will go a long way towards that.

Equanimeous St. Brown is an interesting case to watch. At 6-foot-5 and 214 pounds, he possesses amazing size. He has flashed upside thus far, and he could continue that this week. If he reaches his ceiling, he could quickly provide an amazing compliment opposite Davante Adams. It will just be a matter of him working to improve every day. St. Brown will make the team, but his chemistry with Rodgers will help determine his spot on the depth chart.
