The Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lambeau Field on Thursday night. Here are five storylines to be aware of heading into the game.

The Green Bay Packers square up against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lambeau Field on Thursday night with kickoff at 7 PM CT. Green Bay is 1-0 heading into the second preseason game of the year and there are a number of storylines grabbing all the attention heading into this matchup.

Before we get into the storylines, however, let’s run through some basics about the game. This is Green Bay’s second and final home preseason game before they hit the road to Las Vegas and Kansas City for the final two games before the regular season. Green Bay also starts out the regular season with two consecutive home games.

Getting back to this second preseason game, it’s typically not one where the starters will play a lot. That’s usually reserved for the third game. However, we may see more starters than usual, as it seems some of the players want to experience Lambeau Field before the regular season.

Lastly, Mike McCarthy will be facing his hometown team. McCarthy is from Pittsburgh and has become quite familiar with the Steelers through the years. So, without further ado, let’s dive into five of the major storylines heading into the reunion, of sorts, for the Packers’ head coach.
