3. Brook Lopez/ John Henson/ Thon Maker

Okay, so this one is sort of cheating. Still, the Bucks need one of their centers to step up and play like an NBA starting-caliber center. It doesn’t matter if it’s Brook Lopez John Henson or Thon Maker, but Milwaukee needs at least one to make an appearance.

One of these three players will have a huge impact on the Bucks’ season and really propel them toward 50 wins (if not upward of 50).

The smart money is on Lopez. He’s the newcomer to the group and the only one who’s shown an ability to score in the NBA on a consistent basis. He also has the most polished outside game of the three, which is weird to say considering he never shot threes until 2016-17.

Henson is what he is at this point and that’s a below-average offensive player, a below-average rebounder and an average shot blocker. He isn’t going to change. However, Maker is the wild card. He’s flashed extremely intriguing skills during his first two seasons, but they have been very far apart. Let’s see if he can take a good step toward consistency in 2018-19.
