1. Avoid major injuries

Isn’t this the goal of every preseason game and practice in the summer? Health is the ultimate goal for the Packers, especially considering they appear to be hit with the injury bug year after year.

So far in 2018, they’ve avoided major injuries to just about everyone. The sole expectation is Jake Ryan who went down early in camp and will be out for the season. Ryan was a great run-defender from the inside linebacker position. Although that’s extremely valuable, the Packers have third-round pick Oren Burks waiting behind him. Burks is a speedster and is better suited for coverage in today’s NFL.

Outside of Ryan, the Packers have been banged up a little bit here and there, but nothing major. Let’s hope that continues in their game against the Steelers and hope I didn’t jinx it.
