Now, to be the Scout Team Player of the Year, you don’t have to be on the Practice Squad. A lot of active roster guys will run the Scout Team during the season as well, and with the Packers facing the real possibility of keeping seven receivers, it makes sense for a lot of them to make their initial impact on the practice field, emulating opponents.

Perhaps the best suited for that would be the receiver affectionately called MVS. After a stellar opening game against the Titans, the fifth round pick is on his way to a spot on the roster. But, while his upside is tremendous, he still has a lot of work to do and his readiness for the regular season is likely behind both Equanimeous St. Brown and J’Mon Moore, leaving him as the fifth or sixth receiver this season.

Even if he is the fourth receiver, he will likely see a lot of reps on the Scout team, emulating receivers like Marvin Jones, Marquise Goodwin, and Doug Baldwin. Giving a good model for the cornerbacks to study will help him become the Scout Team Player of the Year.
