1. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Two words. Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo is the best player in Bucks’ franchise history and that includes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Still, at 23-years-old, his future remains a blank slate and the upcoming season will go a long way in determining if that’s as a Buck.

Antetokounmpo has done nothing but assure fans and the front office that he wants to remain in Milwaukee. He’s publicly shared his love for the city, the fans and the franchise on a number of occasions. Now let’s see if Milwaukee can return the favor.

The Bucks are trying to build a team around the Greek Freak, but that’s a lot easier said than done. There have been multiple questions about the structure of both ownership and the front office with a true leader failing to become apparent to the public. Whether this gets in the way of team-building remains to be seen.

At the end of the day, nobody will blame Antetokounmpo if he doesn’t want to waste his prime with a franchise that can’t win consistently with him on the floor. Basketball is one of the only sports where one player can basically carry his team to the playoffs. How the Bucks perform in 2018-19 will give us a good idea where Antetokounmpo’s next contract will be.
