Three things we learned from the Green Bay Packers 31-17 win over the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night to start the 2018 preseason.

The Green Bay Packers are off to a hot start after a 31-17 win over the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night. Some players had impressive moments while others had plays they would like to forget, but that’s what you expect from football in August. There’s plenty to build on for the Packers moving forward in the preseason.

The game got off to a sloppy start as Marcus Mariota drove the Tennessee offense 71 yards for a touchdown. It was Mariota’s only drive of the game as he completed two out of three passes for 42 yards.

Brett Hundley quickly countered with a scoring drive of his own with help from a 48-yard bomb down the left sideline to receiver Davante Adams. That set up an eight-yard catch to running back Jamaal Williams who capped off the drive with a headfirst dive into the end zone.

After that, the untidy play continued throughout the game as both teams combined for 24 penalties. Even through the onslaught of yellow penalty flags, there were still things to get excited about. Here are three takeaways from Green Bay’s first preseason win:
