All eyes in Wisconsin will be on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field Thursday night. Here are some things they should be looking for against the Titans.

Aug. 9, 2018. That’s the official date that Green Bay Packers football returns with their preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans.

And while the starters for the Packers (Aaron Rodgers, David Bakhtiari, Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, Jimmy Graham, etc.) likely won’t play, the other 70 plus players will be on Lambeau Field wearing the green and gold for the first time this season.

With the season arriving rapidly, there are a lot of stories to be gleaned from this seemingly meaningless game. Questions have to be answered about the backup quarterback, special teams, wide receiver, defense and coaching. And it starts with this game.

From the top of the roster to the bottom, the competitions begin in earnest. What a player has done in practice will start to fall to the wayside compared to what they do once the games begin. For guys like Jake Kumerow, Josh Hawkins, Naashon Hughes, and Kofi Amichia, what they do during these four games will decide their futures in football. There’s no avoiding it. The games start now.

And as Packer fans and writers, there’s a lot that we want to see Thursday night in Green Bay. Here are five of those.
