The Green Bay Packers take on the Tennessee Titans to kick off their preseason. Packer fans have battles to watch both internally and externally.

The Green Bay Packers kick off their preseason action Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans. None of the major players, Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, David Bakhtiari, etc. will see the field. However, there will still be a ton for fans to pay attention. From seeing recent additions, like new draft picks in action, to the new systems involved, there is a lot of intrigue around this team that fans are excited about.

In years past, preseason hasn’t held a lot of intrigue for Packers fans. However, after changing management, the Packers are going through a massive amount of change. Their major free agent additions, Jimmy Graham and Muhammad Wilkerson, may or may not play on Thursday. If Wilkerson plays, the fans will get a glimpse of their possibly dominant defensive line for this upcoming season.

The Titans are not a lockdown defensive unit. This could allow for some fireworks on the offensive end. If Marcus Mariota does not play, this young defensive unit could have some fun of its own. They could also build confidence as they start to get more experience in Mike Pettine’s system. The bottom line is that, for the first time in a few years, Packers fans may want to pay attention to the first week of the preseason for a few different reasons.
