3. The Summer of Kumerow continues

Jake Kumerow, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater product, has been turning heads at the Packers’ training camp since Day 1. And that’s great news considering Green Bay has at least a couple of open receiver spots ready to be taken.

At 6-foot-4 and 209 pounds, Kumerow has the size the Packers’ appear to be looking for at their position. Beginning with the draft, Green Bay has taken a turn at the position and has been targeting taller and bigger receivers. It’s no coincidence they also picked up Kumerow to give up a run as well.

With guys such as Adams and Cobb likely to sit out the entire game, the rest of the receiving core will get ample of playing time. Green Bay also has three pretty decent quarterbacks in Hundley, Kizer and Tim Boyle to get Kumerow the ball. If he can get open against this Titans’ secondary, look for him light up Lambeau with a touchdown reception or two.
