1. Continued growth

The biggest reason for Antetokounmpo’s historic MVP run will be due to his continued growth. There’s no question he’s gotten better every single season of his career. He even won the 2016-17 Most Improved Player award. There’s also a legitimate argument to be made that he should’ve been in contention for the award again last season.

Hopefully, Antetokounmpo took a little time off at the beginning of the offseason to rest the knee that was sore at various points in the season. After that, however, it’s certain that he got to work addressing the minimal holes in his game.

Antetokounmpo wants to win the MVP and has stated it’s one of his goals. He’s undoubtedly working his tail off in the gym and the court in order to make that happen. Don’t be surprised to see him average 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists per game while shooting close to 55 percent from the field. When he does that, he’ll lock in his first ever MVP award.
