1. DeShone Kizer

Even though the starting job is obviously out of DeShone Kizer’s grasp, the uber-important backup quarterback position is his to earn. That’s the whole reason Kizer was acquired from the Cleveland Browns this summer.

So far, Kizer’s had a fairly quiet camp with Tim Boyle gaining the most notoriety. Still, there’s no doubt Kizer is the most naturally gifted and has the most real game experience.

Per usual, Rodgers is likely to see very little playing time this preseason. That opens the door for Kizer, Brett Hundley and Boyle. Kizer will be running with the 1’s, giving him the most talent of the three quarterbacks to work with. This should help propel him to a big preseason.

Get excited for the things he can do on the field, as he’ll have every reason in the world to go all out and give it his best. Kizer is a much different brand of quarterback than Hundley and we are sure to see that in the preseason. Expect big things from him this month.
