The jury is still out on whether or not the Milwuakee Bucks can contend in the Eastern Conference this season. Here are 5 reasons why the Bucks can win.

The Milwaukee Bucks are getting their fair share of questions regarding their chance to win the Eastern Conference. With former NBA coach of the year Mike Budenholzer at the helm alongside the transcendent talent of Giannis Antetokounmpo, the sky is the limit for the Bucks in 2018-19.

Although there is sure to be a monster year from Antetokounmpo there will be plenty of players on the roster both new and old will have an effect on the outcome of this season. Let’s take a look at five reason’s why they’ll win the East

5. Sterling Brown will become a valuable role-player

Sterling Brown comes off a surprising rookie season where he stepped up and made an impact when injuries to Matthew Dellavedova and Malcolm Brogdon left the guard group in shambles.

Brown’s numbers may not have excited you, but the way he played showed that he wasn’t afraid of anything at the NBA level. We saw him show a dominance on offense and stinginess on defense in Summer League as a returning roster player.

Brown’s current contract situation allows him to become one of the more important players on this roster. Budenholzer needs to focus on creating a role for Brown where he can be effective in a 14-15 minute per game role. Brown can thrive within that role because he will give Khris Middleton and Tony Snell time-off and defend the best guard on the opposing team. In addition to his defensive abilities, he can run the floor and hit threes at a consistent enough rate.
