3. Domingo Santana

Domingo Santana was another major contributor to Milwaukee’s 2017 offense. And similar to Arcia and Shaw, he’s also taken a major step backward in 2018.

After jacking 30 home runs and driving in 85 runs last season, he only has three home runs and 17 RBIs in 62 games this year. This is a huge drop off in power and run production and understandably had Milwaukee’s brass very concerned. With other outfielders not named Lorenzo Cain and Christian Yelich struggling at the plate, the Brewers need all the contributions they can get from the third outfield spot.

Fortunately, Santana has shown some life with Colorado Springs in the minors. He’s hitting .305 with a .427 on-base percentage. Even if the power still isn’t there, the on-base percentage is extremely encouraging. The Brewers are at their best when at full strength and that would certainly include Santana being the best version of himself.
