1. Mike Pettine

Mike Pettine has an opportunity to become THE most influential person on the 2018 version of the Packers. The new defensive coordinator replaced Dom Capers this offseason and looks to jumpstart the defense.

Recently, the offense has been good enough to get the team to another Super Bowl. In fact, they’ve been better than good enough, as they’ve been downright amazing. At times, they have almost single-handedly carried this team to playoff victories while dragging the seemingly lifeless defense.

The Packers defense has been downright abysmal the last couple of years, as Capers schemes have become stale and outdated. Hopefully, Pettine can inject new ideas and energy into a defense that has been lacking everything except for giving up yards and touchdowns in chunks.

Pettine doesn’t have to a complete savior and get this defense into the top 5, 10 or even 15. They simply have to be around the average range to give this offense and team a chance to win in the playoffs. If Pettine can do that, he will be the biggest difference maker in 2018.
