The Green Bay Packers are set to start training camp at the end of July. Look for these five players to make a name for themselves.

The Green Bay Packers kick off training camp on July 26 with the players reporting to Green Bay the day before. Training Camp is a wonderful and prominent time where players who might never see the field come September can make a name for themselves.

Every season, the media declares winners and losers of the offseason and proclaim Player X is in the best shape of his career. Here at Dairyland Express, we aren’t above such gossip and love to play into the hype as well. I mean, it’s the freakin’ middle of July, the Milwaukee Bucks don’t have games for another few months and the Milwaukee Brewers are in the middle of their All-Star break. What else do we have to talk about?

On a more serious note, most players who break out during training camp never have success in the regular season, but there are always exceptions. Sometimes, very rarely, players are able to capitalize on the momentum they gained in July and August and carry it over to September, October and maybe even November or December if they’re lucky.

In these cases, teams truly know they have something special and it can excite a fan base as well. The five men on this list are players who are more unproven than proven. There may be some internal hope to improve their level of play, but they are largely unknown to the outside world. Without further ado, let’s take a look at five candidates to break out in the Packers’ training camp.
