The Milwaukee Brewers will need to continue playing good baseball after the All-Star break. These five players should step up to the plate and lead them.

The Milwaukee Brewers have hit a wall heading into the All-Star break and will need to knock it down in order to continue their surge in the second half of the season. The good news is they have the necessary talent to make that happen.

The Brewers spent most of the first half of the season in first place in the National League Central. Unfortunately, they undid that with an awful final week leading up to the break. After leading the Chicago Cubs by 1.5 games on July 9, the Brewers lost six of seven, including five in a row and have fallen behind in the standings.

Regardless of what some fans are saying, the Brewers season is still far from over. There’s plenty of games left and they are right in the race for the National League Central. The Brewers should be able to use last season’s slide for motivation and build off that experience.

In order to avoid a collapse for the second season, however, they are going to have to lean heavily on individual talent to lead them. This may be difficult for a team that has seen it’s sum be greater than its parts. However, these five players will step up to the plate and take Milwaukee back to the playoffs.
