3. Who will win the backup quarterback competition?

Despite Rodgers being locked into the starting spot, the backup quarterback position is important for obvious reasons. As we saw last season, the Packers took a huge dip in competitiveness with Rodgers out of the lineup. With both Brett Hundley and DeShone Kizer on the roster, the Packers have plenty of talent at the position.

Hundley has plenty of talent, but was unable to put it all together last season. He was thought to be a candidate for Green Bay to trade and recoup a draft pick. Unfortunately, that all went out the window thanks to his performance in 2017-18. Still, in the final year of his contract, he has another opportunity to prove himself.

Kizer was drafted in the second round last season and struggled for the Cleveland Browns. He’s more talented than Hundley and will look to use that to his advantage. Green Bay reportedly looked at him with their first-round pick last year, but ultimately went a different direction. Whichever quarterback loses this competition might find themselves on a new team in the Fall.
