4. Who will contribute at the outside linebacker position?

Death, taxes and injuries to the Packers’ starting outside linebackers. Those are about the only things that are certain in today’s world.

In Nick Perry’s six-year career, he has yet to play all 16 games in one season. In total, he’s missed 24 of a possible 96 regular season games. Clay Matthews has a little bit better of a track record, but not by much. In nine years, he’s played in all 16 games only three times.

Given that, the only thing that’s predictable about the Packers’ 2018 season is that either one or the other (probably both) of Perry or Matthews will miss time this season. Behind them is a plethora of questionable players on the depth chart. The trio of Kyler Fackrell, Reggie Gilbert and Vince Beigel don’t have the necessary experience or track record to make people believe they can fill in for any extended period of time. The Packers need one to become a contributor, which one will step out?
