1. Aaron Rodgers

Surprise, surprise. Aaron Rodgers is the number one player the Packers’ can ill-afford to get hurt in the 2018 season. Unfortunately, it’s fresh in our minds what happens when the Packers are forced to go to a different signal caller with Rodgers on the bench.

The plan for 2018 is for Rodgers to stay on the field for every game, but if that doesn’t happen Green Bay at least improved their backup plan. They traded Damarious Randall to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for quarterback DeShone Kizer. Kizer went winless in 15 starts for the Browns last year, but is more talented than Brett Hundley. Hopefully, the two will push one another to get better and better.

Regardless of how the backup quarterback competition plays out, Green Bay hopes they’ll never have to use it. Rodgers is the best quarterback in the game today and covers up for a lack of talent up and down this roster and a number of deficiencies the team has. Without him, they are nobody. But with him, they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
