1. Ty Montgomery

Is he a running back? Is he a wide receiver? Can he stay healthy? Those are all critical questions both Ty Montgomery and the Packers’ must have answered in 2018. Whatever the answer is, we know one thing is for sure and that’s Montgomery is a good offensive weapon when he’s on the field.

After switching to full-time running back last year, Montgomery didn’t last very long in the backfield before suffering a few different injuries. He tried to play through them, but was ultimately unable to do so. That opened the door for Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones and now gives us the three-headed monster at running back heading into the season.

Still, Montgomery will have the chance to prove why everyone around the league was so excited about him just a year ago. People seem to have forgotten what he can do and are counting on him as just another guy.

Regardless of how this season goes, Montgomery will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019. It will be his first chance at a big contract after his rookie deal so he’ll certainly be looking to maximize his earning potential. Whether that’s with Green Bay or someone else remains to be seen.
