2. Michigan Wolverines

Jim Harbaugh is entering his fourth year as head coach of the Michigan Wolverines and is 28-11 during his time there. The Wolverines haven’t been as great as they’d hope, having gone just 8-5 last season. They appear to be headed toward another 8-5 season again in 2018.

It’s important to note this Michigan team is probably a lot more talented than their record suggests. They’ve had extremely difficult schedules the past few years thanks to the tough Big Ten East. That doesn’t change this season.

Quarterback Shea Patterson is likely the best quarterback Harbaugh has had at Michigan. This should allow the Wolverines to be successful in the passing game. Defensively, they lost Jabrill Peppers but have Khaleke Hudson to fill his shadow. Michigan’s defense has been one of the best in the country in recent seasons and that will continue in 2018.

The Badgers play at Michigan in the middle of October and it will present their first big challenge. This game will likely set the tone for both teams for the rest of the year. Let’s hope Wisconsin can get off on the right foot.
