6. Purdue Boilermakers

The Purdue Boilermakers surprisingly jumped into relevance last season by going 7-6 and securing a winning record. However, they might have a difficult time emulating that again in 2018, as they are projected to go just below .500.

Purdue’s defense is what took the biggest hit after having a major turnaround. Just about everyone is gone besides linebacker Markus Bailey. This should allow Wisconsin to rip through them with their powerful running game.

The Boilermakers are going to hope their offense is the unit to turn things around this year after struggling in 2017. They return a lot of players with experience and will rely on them to take the next step in their development in order to continue their winning ways.
