5. Week 2 vs Minnesota Vikings

The first big game comes right away in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings. Thankfully, it at least is played in the friendly confines of Lambeau Field. Unfortunately, presumed starting running back Aaron Jones will miss this contest due to a two-game suspension he received for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Minnesota is the reigning division champs and has one of the best defenses in the league. This will present a real challenge to Aaron Rodgers and company right out of the gate. Rodgers will probably have revenge on his mind, however, as it was Anthony Barr who hit him last season and caused him to break his collarbone.

Still, the Vikings are hungry as well. They went 13-3 last season and barely won a playoff game off a miracle of a play before getting blown out in the NFC Championship game. They’ll be looking to prove 2017 wasn’t a fluke and this will be a nice statement game for either team early on in the year.
