5. OLB Vic Beasley, Falcons
Week 14- Dec. 9
Beasley battled a hamstring last year but should return to peak form in 2018. In 2016 he was a defensive player of the year candidate with 15.5 sacks and six forced fumbles.
Atlanta picked up the fifth-year option on Beasley’s rookie contract hoping he will continue to develop into an All-Pro pass rusher. Left tackle David Bakhtiari should have no trouble fighting off Beasley’s size and strength and it is also likely starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga will have fully recovered from his ACL tear by then.
Still, I think it is a match-up to watch out for.
The last thing fans want to see is Rodgers getting taken down by a 6-3 250-pound linebacker. It doesn’t end well.
