Now that the NBA Draft is complete, let’s project the starters for the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2018-19 season knowing it could change during free agency.

Even though free agency has just begun, it’s probably safe to assume the Milwaukee Bucks have the five guys on their roster who will be starting the majority of the games next season.

After signing Ersan Ilyasova to a three-year, $21 million deal, Milwaukee has very little cap-room remaining. One option they do have is to make a trade or two in order to dump some of the extra salary on their roster. However, that option appears unlikely given they’d have to give up another asset or two in order to do so and they are extremely short on assets.

Given all that, the Bucks still have a plethora of talent on their team. It may not all fit together beautifully, but the talent is still there.

Is it enough talent to get them to the second round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs? That’s a whole separate question that will answer itself as the season plays out. Until then, let’s project the starting five for new head coach Mike Budenholzer heading into the 2018-19 season.
