The Milwaukee Bucks have enough money to sign at least one free agent. In order for them to make the right decision, here are 5 they should stay away from.

The Milwaukee Bucks are pretty much capped with salary space, but do have a couple of options available to them if they’re interested in bringing on new talent via free agency. Most notably is the mid-level exception.

Since the Bucks aren’t a cap paying team, barring a huge Jabari Parker extension, they are free to use the $8.5 million mid-level exception to bring in fresh blood. Although that probably isn’t enough annual money to sign a big-name free agent, they can definitely sign someone who can become a contributor in 2018-19.

There are a number of players Milwaukee likely has their eye on as people who can potentially help this club. And, unlike in past years, they have a pretty attractive club. Most notably is Giannis Antetokounmpo who is a once in a generation talent. The Bucks haven’t had anyone like him in a long time and he attracts attention all by himself.

However, he’s also surrounded by some pretty good players in Khris Middleton, Malcolm Brogdon and maybe Parker. The Bucks pushed the Boston Celtics to seven games in the first round of the playoffs last season and are just a couple of pieces away from becoming a serious contender in the Eastern Conference. But if they want to take that next step, they must stay away from these five players in free agency.
