1. A Legitimate Title Contender
The Packers have only won one title in Rodgers’ tenure. The team has also only been to one Super Bowl in that time. By comparison, the New England Patriots have been to four, winning two. The Packers defense helped win them their lone title, along with Rodgers’ brilliance under center. In recent years, that group has faltered in recent years. However, that changes now.
This defense is young, fast and only getting better. Long, athletic corners are on the outside to stifle opposing receivers. The run defense has gotten even stronger with the development of future All-Pro Kenny Clark and the addition of Muhammad Wilkerson. If the secondary is able to catch on quickly, they will easily pull their weight this season.
The offense will be expectedly great. As previously stated, Rodgers is incredibly talented and will lead the team’s onslaught on the league. Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones will fight for the lead dog snaps in the backfield. They may not be the fantasy gold-mine that the New Orleans Saints are, but they are going to be a great threat to take heat off of Rodgers. Adams is making his case to be in the top-tier of NFL receivers, and he will add to it this season.
With a balanced football team like this, the NFL is on notice. Green Bay and Rodgers may have stumbled last season, but they are about to show everyone in their way this year that they plan on adding to that trophy case.
